Gamecompressed - Seven Kingdoms Conquest Free Download PC Game. It is an absolute mystery as to why this game carries the Seven Kingdoms label. It's not like the franchise was ever a household name; even during the series' heyday it was never a sales blockbuster. Worse, Conquest has nothing to do with Trevor Chan's cult-classic series of the late 1990s. That game was built upon a solid foundation of military, diplomatic and economic principles with civilizations like the Mayans, Japanese, Persians and Greeks battling it out in real time. It was a hardcore RTS for fans of history. Seven Kingdoms: Conquest is also a real-time strategy game, but that's about the only thing that the two have in common.
You no longer have to worry about "seven" kingdoms as here it's the humans (in various guises) against the demons in a tug-of-war battle for supremacy over a land you don't particularly care about. The game wastes no time at all in letting you know that the waters are going to be more than a wee bit choppy because the tutorial is broken. After spending ten minutes "learning" the camera and unit basics, you're tasked with attacking a village that cannot be reached due to a closed stone gate. There's no way around it. No way to destroy it. It's just... there. So you're left to quit after learning a whole lot of nothing. It's never a good sign when the tutorial doesn't even work.
Conquest itself is a fairly basic RTS that uses gold and food as its two main resources; there's no peasant-pushing involved as the farms and mines generate (seemingly limitless) goods on their own which are used to build units. You can upgrade your troops, which in turn make them better fighters and tougher to kill. Toss in priests and hero units and you have a run-of-the-mill real-time strategy game.

Unta Purba Hidup Di Kutub Utara
UNTA merupakan hewan yang hidup di gurun, namun para peneliti menemukam bukti bahwa pada zaman dahulu kala binatang ini pernah tinggal di wilayah dataran tinggi High Canadian Arctic.Seperti dilansir LiveScience, Rabu (6/3/2013), bukti ini didapat setelah mereka menemukan sisa fosil seekor unta yang diperkirakan telah berusia 3,5 juta tahun di Pulau Ellesmere, wilayah Kanada Nunavut dalam Kepulauan Arktik Kanada.
Tubuh unta purba ini berukuran 30 persen lebih besar dari unta modern, dan teridentifikasi setelah para peniliti menggunakan teknik yang disebut fingerprinting kolagen. Temuan yang dipublikasikan di jurnal Nature Communications pada Selasa (5/3/2013) tersebut menunjukkan kalau unta modern merupakan kerabat dari unta raksasa yang hidup di Kutub Utara yang berhutan dengan udara yang agak lebih hangat dibanding suhu di kutub itu pada hari ini.
"Ini merupakan bukti pertama tentang unta yang hidup di wilayah arktik (wilayah di sekitar Kutub Utara yang di antaranya meliputi Rusia, Kanada, Islandia, Alaska dan Norwegia), dan ini mengejutkan karena selama ini yang kita tahu, unta hidup di wilayah kering dan tandus," ujar Natalia Rybczynski, pakar sejarah biologi dari Museum Kanada Alam di Ottawa kepada LiveScience.
Unta yang termasuk dalam genus Camelus, selama periode Eosen sekitar 45 juta tahun yang lalu, hidup di Amerika Utara. Hewan ini kemudian menyeberang ke Eurasia malalui Isthmus Bering, area yang menghubungkan Alaska dengan Rusia. Kerabat terdekatnya adalah llamas, alpacas, Vicunas dan guanaco.
Para peneliti menemukan sekitar 30 buah tulang yang merupakan bagian dari tibia unta (tulang kering). Lokasi penemuan fosil ini berjarak sekitar 745 mil (1.200 kilometer) di utara dari tempat unta itu semula hidup di Amerika Utara.
Identitas dan usia fosil unta dapat diketahui melalui sidik jari kolagen, suatu teknik yang mengukur jumlah protein tulang yang disebut Tipe I kolagen. Mamalia ini memiliki karakteristik protein yang berbeda dari mamalia yang lain, karena protein-protein di dalam tubuhnya dapat bertahan lebih lama dibanding banyak molekul biologis yang lainnya.
Dari usia fosil yang diperkirakan 3,5 juta tahun, diketahui kalau unta purba tersebut hidup dalam sebuah periode yang dikenal sebagai periode pertengahan Pliosen yang hangat. Kala itu suhu global di Arktik sekitar 3,5-6 derajat Fahrenheit (2-3 derajat Celcius).
"Itu suhu yang lebih hangat dibanding suhu di Arktik hari ini, dan ketika unta itu mati, suhu udara sekitar 33 derajat Farenheit (18 derajat Celcius), sementara suhu rata-rata saat itu sekitar 30 derajat Farenheit (minus 1,4 derajat Celcius). Canadian High Arctic kala itu masih berupa hutan rimba," jelas Rybczynski lagi.
Spesimen fosil yang ditemukan mirip unta Dromedarius modern jika ditinjau dari sidik jarinya, meski sidik jari itu sekitar sepertiga lebih besar dibanding ukuran sidik jari unta modern. Sidik jari itu memiliki kesamaan dengan sidik jari beruang dan unta raksasa Yukon yang hidup sekitar 1.240 mil (2.000 km) jauhnya dari tempat dimana tulang unta kuno ditemukan.
Para peneliti berencana untuk terus mencari sisa-sisa unta di Canadian High Arctic dengan harapan menemukan fosil unta purba yang lebih banyak.
